Welcome to Founders We Fancy, a new series where we’ll be featuring female-identifying founders and leaders who inspire us. Part of our commitment to helping women find rest includes lifting each other up by promoting other female-founded businesses . We’re kicking off the series with Lexi Miles Corrin, founder and CEO of Canadian wax and laser bar chain, WAXON. Alongside heading a nation-wide business, Lexi is also a proud mother of two. We asked Lexi to answer some questions about how she makes time for herself and her favourite self-care activities in our first ever Founders We Fancy Q&A.

What spare time?! Lol. I have a two year-old daughter, Piper and a seven month-old son, Clark, so spare time, especially with COVID still very much present in our lives seems to be hard to find. However, when I can catch some time for me, I fill it with a meditation, workout or if I’m REALLY lucky, both. My favourite workouts right now are Melissa Wood Health and I’m also obsessed with my Peloton and their new Boot Camps.
Women supporting women. The 150+ women that work for WAXON, motivate me each and every day to continue to grow our business so we can continue to provide opportunities for women, both working in our locations as well as our future franchise owners.

Night out with girlfriends or night in with myself
Night out with my girls every time!!!
When I sleep: silent & dark or noise machine & night light
I’m a silent and dark kinda gal, however my husband Adam likes to sleep with a fan.
I wake up every morning with: a very strong coffee or a morning meditation
I wake up every (most) mornings with a morning meditation and a lemon water.
I feel most rejuvenated after: a full night’s sleep or a day spent with my family
Right now, I have to say I’m craving a good sleep in. Am I awful for saying that? Lol!
