The KIP. Female Founder Series
How Megan Kozak is Revolutionizing the World of Injectables
Welcome to the latest post in our Female Founder Series! We’re so excited to be celebrating the launch of our latest Silk Collection by highlighting four incredible female leaders.
Today, we’re introducing our latest female founder, Megan Kozak! Megan is the founder and CEO of The Pout Clinic, a medical spa with a team of Archi-Techs® that specialize in injectables. The Pout Clinic aims to help everyone look and feel their best in the most safe, trustworthy, and comfortable setting.
Megan is a model, registered nurse, and a fearless entrepreneur. She was inspired to change the world of injections like Botox and fillers through working in spas and medical offices where patients were not receiving a specialized, one-to-one experience.
“I would inject 20 patients in six hours – it’s terrible from a nurse-patient perspective because you don’t actually get time to sit with a patient and learn about them and consult,” she says. “It’s like a factory so you can make the quick buck, I really hated that.”
- Start Up Here Toronto, 2016
Now known as Toronto’s Designer Facemaker, Kozak is best known for transforming faces and transforming lives. She has now completed over 10k procedures since her start in the industry in 2013!
At Pout, you’re not just visiting any medical clinic. You immediately feel like part of a family, and in the hands of a trusted team that wants to help you feel your absolute best. Kozak’s personality shines through her services and branding. With catchy and clever names like No-Duck Lip Filler, No-Pillow Face Fillers, Pout aims to make the world of injectables less scary and more inviting.
We sat down with Megan to learn more about what drives her as an entrepreneur, and how setting boundaries is one of the most important forms of self-care.
Being an entrepreneur can be a difficult journey. What keeps you motivated?
When I wake up in the morning, the number one thing that I think about is my team and community around me. As a leader, the thought of letting them down scares me the most.
What do you do to ensure that you are the best version of yourself?
When I think of the best version of myself, I think of when I’m truly connected to my core being. The number one practice that has helped me is setting boundaries. I think that setting boundaries is one of the most important forms of self care, and there are so many different ways that we can set boundaries in life. It’s so important to protect your energy, because sometimes, not everyone wants to see you win.
Have a special woman in your life that you'd like to give back to?
